Should a Christian show respect toward authorities in other religions, whether the pope in Catholicism, the mullahs in Islam, the Dalai Lama in Buddhism, or in this case the high priest in Judaism whose time has passed?
Is the showing of mercy to some the same as preferential treatment -- a form of partiality? Should all receive mercy if God is going to be impartial to all? How can God treat everyone impartially and yet elect some to obtain mercy?
Father’s Day reminds us to honor our dads. But it’s also a good time for dad’s to think about how to love and serve their wives and children to the glory of God.
